Aaahhh, the day after!
Me and the kiddies drove back from my parents yesterday, although needlessly, sans Husband. I was SUPPOSED to have attended a dental consultation for my rather neglected toothies ( I know, I know..I know better but, hey, not much I can do about the past), got half way here only to receive a phone call to say they were a dentist down and could I come in on Friday. Arsholes, coulda rung an hour earlier and I woulda stayed an extra few days!
Anyhoo, I'm always riddled with guilt the day after I get back from anywhere as I end up doing NOTHING. Only a small piece of my brain says "Well you do need to re-acclimatise to doing it all on your own again*"
I think I've actually done alright today. I've put on some washing, that never happens for at least 3 days after, I've put the clean dishes away that I did before we left, and I've made some start on tidying up the mess I abandoned as I walked out the door last week. Not bad at all I say.
We drove up to The Farm in 2 vehicles as one of them is Husbands project. He bought an old Patrol and needs to do a bit to get it road worthy, and rather likes using the facilities of his in-laws shed.
Is it bad I'm really liking not having him here?
It's rather nice not having to pick up after him and only being responsible for mine and the kids mess.
I'm loving not having to squeeze in to a single bed with the 2 children.
I like not having to watch what I say around him in case he starts a 'why am I not going to church and not wanting to be saved?' talk.
It's really nice just having my space.
It does make me wonder...
*Hubby does help, just not as much as I'd like. I'm just a martyr tosses hair

As a SAHM/breastfeeding mumma I tend to just throw on a pair of comfy pants and a top that is loose enough to feed.
The outfit on the left is something I'd wear to do my fortnightly shop. Jeans with pockets so I can have keys/phone/tissues easily at hand, loose top for emergency feeding. Cardi cos it's chilly at the moment, and when my bubba was bitty I carried him in a carrier on my front so the cardi hide unsightly squished back chub.
Lately I've felt a bit motivated and have been going for a walk instead of driving to the supermarket. The sneakers have been dusted off and thrown on with my trackies and t-shirt. Jumper to keep me worn until I work up a sweat. Kidlets in the pram and away we go!

Floaty dress, nice big over the belly tights with some comfy cute flats. Bling it up and add some pink polish (to balance the blue dress, since we haven't found out the gender). Can't forget the cupcakes, and the teddy for Bump, all under some cute as pie bunting.

Why this blog?
I was thinking it might be high time to actually WRITE a post instead of Polly Dolly-ing (not that PD is bad. I think? It's not bad right??).
I started this blog with the intention of venting anonymously about some situations and occurances in my life. Somewhere I don't need to censor myself like my other blog, the fluffy nice blog. I needed somewhere to spew forth and not have the people I'm bitching/venting about read it. Somewhere I can't be identified as the author.
Some might think it's cowardly to hide behind a blog. Why not come out with it in real life? Unfortunately there are some people I can't tell outright or cut out of my life for various reasons as it not only affects me, but other people I care about.
I'm hoping getting some of my thoughts out of my brain, and not bottling it up, will help me become a bit more clearer about who I am and what I want and how I'm going to do it.

Comfy loose pants and simple tee (making a repeat appearance). Throw on a cardi and scarf to keep warm through the terminal. Flat sandals for waiting in the endless queues then for slipping off on the plane. Bag for lugging all the bits and pieces (passport, lip balm, tissues, trashy mag, water). Dark glasses to hide the tired eyes and cute beanie to hide travel hair.

Feeling a bit fun and sunny this week. I saw these glasses and instantly thought 'convertible car'.
Neutral shirt tucked in to a pretty skirt with a nice leather belt. Throw on some bangles, tie a scarf around the neck and slip in to some sexy heels (loving the cut out side on these), then slide on some fun glasses.
